8. 1914-15 Star
Previous Page Next Page
1914 - 1915 Star"Established in 1918, the 1914-1915 Star was awarded to all officers and men of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, RNAS, RNR, RNVR, RIM and Dominion Naval Forces who served between August 5, 1914 and December 31, 1915. It was also awarded to Army personnel, including all officers, warrant officers, NCO's and men from the British, Dominion, Colonial and Indian Forces, with the exception of recipients of the 1914 Star. The award of the 1914-15 Star is incomplete without both the British War Medal and the Victory Medal, as these two awards were issued automatically to those with the Star. Over 2,350,000 1914-15 Stars were awarded."
